One of the things I love about home educating is that I have time with my kids. I have time to teach them things like chores. They get to help do the dishes and we all help around the house, every, single, day. When my daughter was in public school I didn't feel that she had enough time to be a kid so I never made her do much by way of house work because I wanted her to play while she could. I hated that, because it's such an important skill and life lesson, but it's where we were. Now we are here, we all make messes and we all learn how to clean up.
Originally for gospel study I was printing coloring pages for them to color on, but I'm really loving just watching what they come up with. It's so much more fun, and they get really into their drawings. Nora was upset about the black "narwhal" on her picture, because little sister Emy added that feature, and it was not appreciated.
