I read this book for myself, and while it took way longer than I wanted it too. It's really not that long. (I find that I'm too tired to read lately, pregnancy does that to me.) Anyhow this was one recommended by a friend for all who want to homeschool, and I loved it. It definitely has a Christian approach, but I think it there is beneficial information in it for all, even if they are not Christian. Susan Macaulay goes over many of the principles that Charlotte Mason recommends for educating children. It's simple and it's refreshing. It solidified my reasons for home educating our girls!
Originally for gospel study I was printing coloring pages for them to color on, but I'm really loving just watching what they come up with. It's so much more fun, and they get really into their drawings. Nora was upset about the black "narwhal" on her picture, because little sister Emy added that feature, and it was not appreciated.
