Cloth Diapers

I was never going to be that mom.  In fact for my first three I used disposable diapers and thought them to be the best thing in the world.  I couldn't imagine scraping poop off a diaper and then washing it in my washing machine.  Gross.  But here we are with baby number four and after trying to find ways to be more environmentally friendly AND save money, well cloth diapering was a no brainer.  And guess what, I love them.  There were some learning curves to over come for sure, but I would absolutely do it again.  I think that they are so cute, I don't mind spraying the poop into the toilet, I don't mind washing and folding them and I love the money we are saving and that we are producing less waste.  I'm sure they are not for everyone, but I really wish I would have started sooner!  Plus I have this little gal to "help" me fold them!

Jesus Walking on the Water

Originally for gospel study I was printing coloring pages for them to color on, but I'm really loving just watching what they come up with.  It's so much more fun, and they get really into their drawings. Nora was upset about the black "narwhal" on her picture, because little sister Emy added that feature, and it was not appreciated.

Baby Time

I've mentioned before that this one is a very messy eater and so she usually gets a spray down in the sink in the morning which she absolutely loves. Then we get her dressed and have some reading time before school.  This morning she wasn't interested in sharing her chair...

Sophie Mouse

My girls LOVE the Sophie Mouse books, and to be honest so do I.  They are cute stories that build good character.  There is no questionable material in them, they are just good books! They are an early reader chapter book, so they have some illustrations, and the stories are fun and easy to follow.  Molly my 7 year old read them all last year. This year I read them aloud to Nora my 5 year old before bed, and she will probably read them on her own sometime next year.  She is still frustrated pretty easily by reading even though she can do it, so we keep things pretty short in that area for now.  If you haven't read the adventures of Sophie Mouse and you have little girls at home (or even little boys!) I highly recommend them!
