I was working with Nora on her math when I glanced to see how Molly was doing with hers and I found that she had made a bed under her desk to make her more "comfortable." I thought, "that's so great that she has that flexibility." She has struggled sitting still in public school and would sometimes get in trouble for fidgeting, which made her feel horrible about herself, so I was glad she had found a way around that.
Then Emy and Nora saw her and thought she had a great idea, and suddenly the school room turned into a bed room, and I didn't think it was so cute anymore, and actually I was kind of annoyed. However I let them have there fun as long as they got their work done. It wasn't so much that I was bothered by the "beds" it was the fact that I knew it was going to be a battle to get them to clean it up. (And it was.)
Even with the battle though, I'm glad they are in an environment where they fill safe, and can do what they need to in order to get their work done.
